offered at PlyoCity!
Sports Enhancement Training
Sports Enhancement Training is widely becoming
a popular way for young athletes to gain a competitive edge in
training for their sport. Here, at PlyoCity, we are implementing
our Sports Enhancement Training program for players of all
sports to take advantage of.
What is Sports Enhancement Training?
Enhancement
programs are designed to enhance sports performance, focusing on
explosive strength, power, total functional strength, speed,
agility, flexibility, and proper movement mechanics. We feel
very strongly that our programs will help make good athletes
great, and make great athletes even better. To ensure an
individualized program for each athlete, sessions are kept at
1-4 students per class.
Goals:
- To progressively,
systematically, and safely improve and develop fundamental
movement skills.
- To help athletes or teams
achieve a high level of competitiveness and athleticism.
- To physically and mentally
challenge the body to achieve new performance levels.
- To offer a very small group or
individual work-out for each athlete per session.
- To enhance the rehabilitative
process and decrease risk of injury.
- To provide an environment in
which athletes can have fun, learn and improve.
Our Philosophy
We are committed
to providing a comprehensive human body performance enhancement
service. Human improvement and sport does not occur in one
(straight ahead) plane of motion. We will enhance each
participant's explosive strength and power in all directions,
and improve speed, agility, and body control. We do not
promote any gimmicks, fads, or bells and whistles, rather
old-fashioned techniques of strength training and injury
prevention. Our success is based on a sound philosophy and
research, as well as individual attention, and hard work.
We will:
- Always facilitate and improve
upon our clients' strengths.
- Breakdown, educate, and
improve the quality of our client's weaknesses.
- Continually assess and
evaluate each clients' progress.
- Methodically and progressively
advance each client's development.
- Provide a fun but competitive
and challenging environment that clients enjoy and continue
to participate in.
Training Environment:
We are committed to providing each athlete with the most up
to date physical training techniques with and without equipment.
Equipment that will be used in this program is the Vertimax
(this is the best single piece of equipment used for explosive
power, vertical jump and first step quickness), Stability balls,
Free weights, medicine balls, treadmill, stationary bike, etc.
Each athlete is evaluated in these areas and a program is
personally designed to meet his or her needs for enhancement in
their sport:
